Following the success of Tomkinson African Wing-Shooting in the Freestate
Province of South Africa, Tony was keen to expand his offer of Wing-
Shooting for clients to Scotland.
The fusion of experience and ideas to develop Scottish Heritage Wing-Shooting
focused on tailoring the itinerary to small groups who want to experience
quality shooting in a historical environment.
A variety of bird shooting has been carefully combined with sight-seeing activities,
and a special ladies itinerary. We cannot guarantee good weather, but you
can fill your memories with stunning Scottish scenery and the sights and
sounds of the bagpipes and fiddle.
The shoot
The Highlands of Scotland offer some of the most challenging exciting and active shooting
amidst glorious landscapes of coastline and hills. 200 to 400 Bird Days of exotic and
mixed species of pheasant with partridge make for exhilarating “drives” that
certainly test the shooters. A marvellous day for the ladies to join in with coffee
on arrival, consommé snack on the hill, followed by a traditional roast luncheon
with wine back at the shoot lodge.
Attention to detail and comfort is not spared with a team of vehicles and a
bevy of local professionals with their trained retriever dogs to pick-up the birds.
The Highland Hillside Ranges provide a well run “driven pheasant / partridge
shooting” as well as the thrill of flushed birds during the “rough moorland walked-up days ”.
Late afternoon duck shooting can also be arranged.
